Limited Scope Clinics

If you need legal assistance in a family law matter but you are unable or unwilling to spend thousands of dollars on a retainer fee for an attorney, then this option is the next best thing.

Limited scope is where a client is not represented by an attorney for all parts of a case, but hires an attorney for assistance with certain parts of their case. An attorney under limited scope may be hired to draft legal documents, give legal advice about the client’s rights or even appear in court on behalf of the client in limited circumstances. The client will have most of the responsibilities in order to accomplish the goal. Aspects like filing the paperwork and paying the filing fee to name a few.

Limited scope representation can be a win-win situation because the attorney is hired for only certain aspects of a case, the overall cost is lower than it would be for full representation and the client benefits by obtaining much needed legal expertise at an affordable price. It’s a simple investment that allows you to control some of the process, step by step and dollar by dollar.
